One of my friend introduced me to an app on my iPhone called 'Coowl' Which allows me to layer my photos on top of each other, and see the effect of both.
So with this I went away and experimented with my photos and drawings too see what I could come out with, I took 1 of my drawing and 1 of my photos of my weave and layered them on top of each other to see the effect.
With the first to come I thought that it could help with designing what I wanted to do on my weave pieces, what colours and in what kind of proportion they could be in on a Honey Comb weave.
With the second one I took a page from my sketch book and a picture of my weave, and layered them on top of each other, this helped to see what could suit the pattern I used with colours and proportions I had chosen.
I think the App is a good way of experimenting and exploring with my own work to see what kind of outcome I could get with different colour combinations, patterns and proportions. Something I think is going to be very useful.
